The prestigious AHCA Awards are a national recognition of a community's commitment to quality care.
Implemented by AHCA/NCAL in 1996, the National Quality Award Program is centered on the core values and criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program. The program assists providers of long term and post-acute care services in achieving their performance excellence goals.

This yearly report highlights the top nursing homes in every state, and ratings cover almost 16,000 nursing homes nationwide. This distinguished award draws data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services on care, safety, health inspections, staffing and more for nearly every nursing facility in the U.S.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid created the Five-Star Quality Rating System to help consumers, their families and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily. The quality measures rating is an indicator as to how well a nursing home cares for their resident’s physical and clinical needs.

The Ohio Department of Aging surveys residents of Ohio nursing homes and assisted living facilities to determine their satisfaction with the care they receive there. The average overall satisfaction rating for the state of Ohio is 87.5%. The Resident Satisfaction Survey has long been a tool for Ohio consumers and their families to identify which facilities in their communities can best meet their needs.
